Integrated Resort, Sentosa, Singapore

SENTOSA OLD FERRY TERMINAL...............NOW YOU SEE IT................

NOW YOU DONT....................
Sentosa old ferry terminal is gone, demolished and make way for the much talked about Resorts World at Sentosa . The integrated resort will have hotels, water park, maritime museum, etc and of course the Casino and Universal Studio. It will be completed in a few years time. The other integrated resort will be at Marina.
I am looking forward to them, now I dont have to travel to USA to visit Universal Studio, and I think Singapore will be a more exciting place to visit for tourists.
Not to worry that the sea in front of Vivo City will be polluted with rubbish. The boat man above is there to take care of the cleaniness.

I haven't been to that island ever since I was 10. What a shame, the old ferry terminal was one of the landmark for Sentosa isn't it? I will miss it.

I love Sentosa! I think it's such a beautiful place to chill out and do a lot of things if you're feeling active.

Thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your footprints behind. Sorry for not dropping by sooner. I was on a course the whole weekend. Do visit again. Have a great start to your week!

The terminal building looked nice, but I guess its time had past. The new development looks like its going to be huge, with a lot of everything. One of those places that seems like its taking forever to build because of the anticipation.

Hello Alice, So they have ripe out the old terminal, and now? what about the whole of Sentosa, can we still go there? Is the whole Island closed. I remember one of my best souvenir in life is the cable car above the harbour, what a view.

Thanks for all the comments. Sentosa is open, only with some renovation here and there(the only major construction is the integrated resort). The beach is beautiful with more hotels, dining and spas. The last I went the Images of Singapore is undergoing renovation so not sure if it is ready now. I will try to get fresh photo on the island. :)

Sentosa has lots to offer as it is; the new development will certainly make the offerings there huge.

wow ... this is my favourite post . i didn't know they would demolish completely the old terminal . it was a landmark . and i didn't know you'll have a universal studios theme park there . cool . the whole island is under huge "renovation" so many contruction sites , so many new development plans , a lot of new everything . it was so differrent when i left comparing to when i first visited and in a few years it will be totally changed . i'm not so sure if for the better . i think it's too much .

Ro, it is not whether it is good or better it is more for survival. We are a tiny country with no natural resources except for the sun and rain. We cant go into manufacturing anymore, they are going to china for cheaper labour. We are heading to services, so you can see more developments in future. Even botanic garden is branching out, a garden in the city (it will be in marina). It will be different from botanic garden.
