HAPPY 2011 - BEING PAMPERED

Happy 2011 everybody.

My first post for 2011. Being pampered on this day. :) If only I am being pampered everyday in 2011. ....hehehe. Yes, I share the same birthday date as Elvis Presley but ain't as famous as him....hahaha. Anyway I dont want to be famous cause I like my privacy and am so much contended with my present lifestyle.
Flowers from my son's girlfriend. So sweet and pretty and wrapped in my favourite purple colour wrappers.
My favourite blackforest flavour cake. Will blow the candles and make my wish tonight.
Had lunch at The Ship Restaurant. Mine comes with half a lobster and dory fish. The portion was so much that I could not finish it. Did not photograph the soup of the day (very yummy)
Ending my lunch with tea and dessert of the day. The dessert is fried banana coated in flour.
Just blew the cake and make my wishes. :)

Birthday Celebration at the Resort

Besides relaxing and having fun at the resort, we also celebrated my youngest son's 21st birthday.

He had two cakes for two different nights. One night is for family and friends and the other night solely for family.

My son loves football so his friend bought a cake with footballers on top of them.

My eldest son planned the whole birthday for him. The theme of the birthday is Superheroes and Supervillians. Guests are supposed to dress up as their favourite heroes or villians.

Hahaha, the above is my niece.

Sushi for the buffet

The food on the red table cloth are for non muslims guests while the further corner of another buffet on white table cloth is for the muslim friends. The food that night were so yummy and good.
Everyone especially the birthday boy enjoyed the party.

Niece's 21st Birthday

It was my niece's 21st birthday. We had a small party by the pool under a not very shiny moonlight. Good thing the weather is good and it did not rain.

While sitting by the poolside, I looked up and saw the half moon and I used my camera to zoom on it. My siblings were surprised that the moon looked so big in my camera...lol. This is the first time they saw anyone taking photo of the moon...hahaha.

The youngsters did a good job decorating the place, really looked like a beach party. The put a lot of little candles around the place and also with some flowers. It was supposed to be a beach party and the teens were very sporting to wear bikinis ...hahaha.

The older folks however are not so sporting, we wear tee shirts and jeans...lol. For my son's 21st birthday, I think I will be a pirate or a witch hahahaha.

A very nice buffet spread.

My niece had a ferrari as her cake.

My World Tuesday - Food - Fond Memories

For my world today, I am going to show you food which is part of our Singapore culture, after all we are a food paradise.

This photo was taken off the poster of the restaurant at Turnhouse Road. I remember when I was very young, my parents would bring my siblings and myself to punggol end and have seafood at Ponggol Choon Seng Restaurant. I remembered tucking into the chilli crabs and having a great time there. Those were the days and we dont even mind that the restaurant was not air conditioned nor sitting by the roadside back then.

Even when travelling along the dusty road towards the restaurant, we had to pass by several pig farms and tolerate those awful smell but now we dont even have a single pig farm on Singapore.
Inside the restaurant, it is very cosy and nice. As the restaurant is tucked in a corner of Changi, it is very quiet unlike some other restaurants.

One of the dish that we love is the crispy duck which we wrapped with popiah skin. For more photos of the food we had that day, you can view food blog.

Please visit "That's my World" for other parts of the world.

Eldest Son's 21st Birthday Party at Resort

One of the reason we decided to rent the bungalow was to celebrate my eldest son's 21st birthday party.

So sweet of my sisters, brother and brothers in law in helping me decorate the hall with banners and balloons. Did you noticed the extra 'P' missing from the word Happy....lol.

You could view the buffet food in my food blog.
