My World - Sentosa Flower Show (Part 9-Merlion)

Continuing from yesterday's post on Sentosa Flower Show, I am almost done with the final part of the series of photos. Hope you are all not bored by it...lol.

Today post is the famous icon of Singapore, the Merlion. As mentioned very often, there are four merlions in Singapore. One is this 37 metres tall Merlion in Sentosa, two at the Merlion Park fronting the Singapore River and a small one at the top of Mount Faber.

You can view my other posts on the Merlion.

These swans were made with flowers, they were also part of the flower show.

A short and interesting video of the Merlion.

Pink Saturday-Singapore River Hongbao 2009

My contribution for pink saturday are these pink flowers and the pink stage, photo taken during the Singapore River Hongbao 2009. These will be my last photos for the Singapore River Hongbao 2009 series of photos.

These pink flowers are not the real thing, they are artificial.

The peacockis cute and lovely and trying to just snap the peacock is difficult cause there are so many people waiting to take photo with the peacock so I ended up taking photo of the peacock and a stranger...lol

The stage is decorated and lighted with pink lights.
For more pinky participants, please visit Beverly of How Sweet The Sound.

Singapore Botanic Garden-Swan Lake

This is the Swan Lake in Singapore Botanic Gardens. It used to have many swans but I spotted only two swans. I wondered where all the black swans had gone.

Not sure everyone interested in my tales with these two swans....lol. I thought I would go home empty handed without photos of the swans. The two swans were spotted at the far end of the pond and then I tried to get their attention but the swans just ignore me and ate their food. Just as I was about to give up, these two lovely swans swam so fast to me like a motor boat. It is kind of funny....hahaha. Did you spot their webbed feet, they paddled very fast towards us with their feet.

And now I am so satisfied taking so many photos of these two swans, they actually swam so close to us and stay with us for a long time. I enjoy the moment with the swans and had a fun time at Swans Lake.
