Pink Saturday - Candies

Christmas may be over but the christmas decorations were still up at some mall. Saw these beautiful candies decorations at Suntec City Shopping Mall.

The christmas tree looked like a game board I saw in a games show on TV. I think it was "The Price is Right".

It was part of a christmas promotion where shoppers spending more than $50 get three chances to drop a ball from the top of the tree to fall into the sock at the bottom. They get to win a prize.

Pink Saturday - Christmas Decoration at Orchard Central Shopping Mall

This year, Orchard Central Shopping Mall was voted by the public as the best dressed for christmas decoration in Orchard Road. I love it too, lots of fairy and unicorn. Lots of pink too so I thought I would like to join this week Pink Saturday.

Saw two huge shoes in the mall, hmmm seems like both are right footed.

Lots of mannequins in and around the mall, looks unique and attractive.

A pink wishing well, people actually tossed coins into the well to make wishes.

A pink swing, oh this is my favourite.

Pink Saturday - Orchard Central - Roof Garden

If you love arts, Orchard Central is for you.

Very surprised that the roof garden is so pretty with these cute sculptures.

It looked like a giant flower growing on the roof top.

This is the favourite with my little niece. She loves dogs.

The girl sculpture looked like she has pimples on her body..lol.

More photos on more sculptures on the roof top of Orchard Central coming soon in another post.

Pink Saturday - Shuang Lin Monastery - Flowers and Plants

Beside worshipping at the temple, the temple grounds has a very huge garden with lots of bonsai and other plants.

Saw this huge lotus flower grown in the temple ground. It was so tall that I had to tiptoe and raise my hands to capture the flower in my camera. Am pleased it turned out to be pretty.

In buddhism, white lotus represents the state of spiritual perfection and total mental purity (bodhi). It is associated with the White Tara and proclaims her perfect nature, a quality which is reinforced by the color of her body.

Pink Lotus generally reserved for the highest deity. Thus naturally it is associated with the Great Buddha himself
(Source: religion facts)

Ths lotus leaves are so huge, reminded me of the lotus leaves used to wrap glutinous rice.

Water lily

There's a small pond where they grew beautiful water lilies.

The gardener taking care of the plants in a small garden infront of the Goddess of Mercy Hall.

It is interesting to see so many bonsai plants in the temple ground. They are well maintained and taken care of.

The next time you visit the temple, do look out for these plants and flowers.

Pink Saturday - Peranakan Museum - Beautiful Artefacts

My contribution for this Pink Saturday must be these peranakan beautiful pots. The designs on them are so beautiful.

Even the plates were drawn with beautiful phoenix and flowers.

Love these bowls too

Teapot for serving tea or water. My late grandma had a few of these but they dont have such beautiful designs on them. I think I want to go down to Chinatown to hunt for these teapots.
