This is so beautiful. This is the flower of the passion fruit. It looked like a plastic flower.

Hort Park 13 - Water Lily

Saw these beautiful water lilies in the lake in Hort Park. They make good photographic subjects.

Too bad the lotus flowers have not bloom yet.

I saw so many tiny flowers growing on the ground in Hort Park but not sure of their names.

They are so tiny and so cute and pretty.

Hort Park 10 - Cactus for Sale

These are beautiful. Cactus flowers are really very eye catching.

They looked so cute when they are so small but they can grow to very huge plants.

These flowers are so beautiful and they dont cost much.

I love the purple flowers and sad to say I did not purchased them cause I know they would die on reaching home cause I was going somewhere else after this Hort Park's trip.

Oh I love this photo of the pitcher plant. My little niece took some photos of it too and I began my science lessons with her by telling her all about the pitcher plant...lol.

Hort Park 7 - Hydroponics

There is a small hydroponic garden in Singapore Hort Park. It is popular with kids.

Hydroponics is a method of growing plants using mineral nutrient solutions, in water, without soil.

Hort Park 6 - Butterfly Garden

It is so rush for little niece and me, the butterfly garden was close to closing time. And we are lucky to be allowed in as the last guests...lol. So quickly, we snap snap snap......

Just managed to get a few snapshots of the cocoons.....

and little niece spotted the huge butterfly above me and I zoom on it and we were then have to hurry out of the garden...sigh.....

Hort Park 5 - Tadpoles

This is very good educational pond for the kids. My little niece is so excited about the many eggs and tadpoles we saw at this pond.

The many bubbles you see in the ponds are eggs. Did you spot the tadpole(circled in red) in the above photo?

You have to look carefully for the lone tadpole which just wriggled a little bit...lol

Spotted this big and beautiful tree in Hort Park. Hort Park is a very huge park that has gardening-related, recreational, educational, research and retail activities . You can read more about Hort Park from National Park's website.

Hort Park 3 - Wall Planters

Hort Park is so huge, you need good walking shoes to explore the park.

Saw these tall green planters where they grew so many different plants vertically.

Hort Park 2 - Sculptures

Some of the sculptures I saw in Hort Park. There are more but there are too many people there for me to spot more.



This must be the tin man in the story of Wizard of Oz

And I found the lion but I missed the scarecrow and dorothy, too many people in the park for me to spot them.

My World Tuesday - Hort Park 1

Today, I will begin my series of posting of plants and flowers in Hort Park.

Some of the landscapes I saw inside Hort Park.

Oh I love these dragons.

Award winning designs, I love how they arranged the flowers at the side to make a pattern just like flower arrangements.

Not sure if this is a swimming pool or just for display, I could not see any sign beside it or I might have missed seeing any description of it.
