A trip up to Mount Faber- Part 3 (Jewel Box)

The Jewel Box right at the top of Mount Faber where the cable car station is. There are a few restaurants and bars located here.

This is the roof top of Jewel Box but best time to visit was in the morning or night cause it could be very hot on the roof top in the afternoon. But you could visit some of the air conditioned restaurants located on the lower floor where you could dine or have a drink and a good view of Singapore.

You could follow what this family did, hide in the shelter from the hot sun and bring their own drinks and food. The rooftop pub is not open during the daytime except for the restaurants which are open for lunch and dinner.

Guess why this cable car is different from the other top two cable cars in the above photo. Clue: The difference has nothing to do with the fine display of dining sets. Answer: This cable is different from the above two because it was made of Lego Bricks.

Quiz No. 3

Another quiz for those interested. :)

Look at the above photo, there are four men carrying placards at the road junction in South Korea. Guess what are they doing.

Clue: They are not part of a protest demonstrations. They are being punished. What are they being punished for? For littering, speeding, fighting, stealing? Go ahead and guess unless you can read the korean language on the placards of the crime they did...hehehe.

Answer to Quiz No. 2

This is the answer to the quiz on the buddha in Dongwasha Temple in South Korea.

The red circle on the buddha is bee hive.

As told by our korean guide that he asked the monks in the temple regarding the red circle and was told it was bee hive and not bird nest. (It was a neat nest and not untidy so could not be bird nest.) Those who guess it was bird nest, you are very close to the answer, well done.

No one guess it correct.

I also thought it was some kind of CCTV.

QUIZ NO. 2

This is a 33 metre Buddha Statue in Dongwasha Temple in Daegu,South Korea. It was raining that day and the whole place was so cold and misty. It made the whole atmosphere quite eerie. The buddha looked like it was crying because of the rainfall. I was so cold while trying to take a snapshot of the buddha and my hands felt so icy cold.

I have a little quiz for you folks. Look at the round circle on the buddha. Can you guess what that object under the buddha's left hand is? (Click on the photo to enlarge.) The quiz was asked by the korean tour guide for us to guess but none of us got it correct. So I now set this quiz to my fellow bloggers and see who can guess it right. Sorry no prize for the correct answer, this is just for fun.

Saw this beautiful door. They are so different in that one row is without bells and another row with bells. Can you guess why the bells are there?
