My World Tuesday - Sultan Mosque

,Masjid Sultan (Malay for Sultan Mosque, is located at Muscat Street and North Bridge Road). The mosque is considered one of the most important mosques in Singapore. The prayer hall and domes highlight the mosque's star features.

Sultan Mosque has stayed essentially unchanged since it was built, with only repairs carried out to the main hall in the 1960s and an annex added in 1993. It was gazetted as a national monument on 14 March 1975. You can read more about the mosque from source.

Another view of the mosque from another angle.

I like patronizing the snack store near the mosque, they serve very good curry puff...yummy.

The street in front of the mosque is decorated with malay decorations because Hari Raya Puasa is approaching soon. It is on 21st September 2009.

Please visit "That's my World" for other parts of the world.

May we all seek and find assurance in the one God of us all, and put aside any petty differences and shun those who politisize religion.
