Science in the Mall (Part 3)-Specimen of insects

Still at Plaza Singapura on Science in the Mall. There are many exhibits of different types of insects on display. I love the butterflies, they are all so beautiful and most I have never seen before.

I have nothing against insects, but I don't like to see them in an exhibition! gives me the creeps :)

I love these exhibits! I imagine kids would love them and be interested in the earth science they can learn from exhibits like this. I'd love to be able to see tropical insects since I'll never see them in NY State!

Thanks for all the nice comments. Yes, it is a very good education for kids. A good way to make family spend time together in the mall too besides shopping.

the exhibits are great--there was/is an insectarium(?)
well an insect museum in Montreal I thought I'd spend an hour at most, but there were great films and exhibits and even jewelry made out of bright blue beetle backs! (the jewelry was priced like Tiffany's--it was made by some tribe in some remote place and they got all the proceeds) It was stunning. at first glance you'd never think it was made out of... bugs!

Now I want to go back to Montreal!

Hi Chedwick, this is just an exhibition held in the shopping malls. It is to bring science education to the kids during the month long school holiday in June. Glad you enjoyed the visit to Montreal. :)
