Pink Saturday - Sentosa Flower Show - Flowers

This will be my final posting for Sentosa Flower Show. Ending the series with these beautiful and different colour hibiscus.

Lots of Hibiscus in here. Love these pink hibiscus, they looked like they are dancing and their petals looked like skirts swirling around.

Skywatch Friday - Flower Show Part 10

Spotted these artificial flowers during the flower show. Took these photos just for sky photos cause I thought they looked good.

Sentosa Flower Show Part 9 - Tulips

Land of the giant tulips. Actually these are just props but there are really some tulips growing there. Rather, these tulips are specially flown in from other countries and placed there for the Sentosa Flower Show. We cant grow tulips in Singapore because of the hot weather but soon we can see tulips growing in Singapore.

Garden by the Bay in Marina will be open end of this year and certain parts of the garden will see tulips growing there. There will be special domes with temperature suitable to grow flowers that normally cannot grow in Singapore. I will tell you more when I visit the garden when it open by end of the year. There will be four parts of the garden, I think they will open certain parts phase by phase.

I was late visiting the flower show where the tulips bloom too much.

Sentosa Flower Show Part 8 - Carrotland

Besides Carrots, there are also other vegetables planted in carrotland. These are not planted in sentosa but purposely flown in from other countries and plant there for the flower show to celebrate the year of the rabbit.

The vegetables remind one of Salad. Salad anyone?

My World Tuesday - Sentosa Flower Show Part 7 - Carrotland

Finally, I found my way to Carrot Land, although I was in Giantland...lol. These carrots are real huge and tall but they are actually props.

I love eating carrots especially if they are soft boiled, very healthy and yummy.

These are real carrots and specially flown in from other countries for the flower show in sentosa. On normal days, you wont get to see these carrots but not sure after the flower show, if these carrots are still there.

Different types of carrots planted in the plot. In mandarin, carrots and raddish are known as red and white carrots.

Very interesting to see these carrots and raddish.

Please visit "That's my World" for other parts of the world.

Sentosa Flower Show Part 6- Heritage Tree

Besides viewing the flower show, there are many other things to see on Sentosa Island. As I was walking towards Carrot Land, I saw many heritage trees but did not take photo of them all. Some are just too tall.

Trail to carrot land (coming up in another post.)

A wishing tree for the Year of the rabbit.

A strange dragon fountain sitting quietly at a corner as I walked past it.

A flower in bloom

It looked like a kind of trumpet flower but am not sure.

Sentosa Flower Show Part 5 - More rabbits

The trail to hunting more rabbits.

Hahaha this is so cute, it looked more like easter than celebrating Chinese New Year in the year of the rabbit.

Pink Saturday - Sentosa Flower Show Part 4 - Rabbits

For Pink Saturday, I like to share these cute rabbits decorations for the Year of the Rabbit on Sentosa.

The rabbits are found around the words "SENTOSA" as shown in the above photo.

This rabbit mascot is super cute.

Hahaha taking a candid shot of the bunny's tail.

Suddenly Sentosa was invaded by lots of bunnies during the Year of the Rabbit.

I took this photo near KFC where we rested and have a cold drink and snack before we proceed with our walk.
