I love looking at window display. To me, they are a kind of art too.

My World Tuesday - It's Barbie

Saw these beautiful costumes at Junction Eight while shopping with family. It's part of the christmas decoration for Junction Eight and the theme was Barbie. These costumes were part of the Barbie Doll's collection.

I have never play with Barbie Doll in my life. During my childhood I had paper dolls. We drew and designed and coloured our paper dresses for our paper dolls. And could you believe it, I actually named my paper doll, Alice when I was nine years old. :) I should not have threw them away when I grow up...sigh.

I wonder if kids still play paper dolls now.

Every year Paragon has very beautiful christmas tree. I remember one year their christmas tree was filled with ballerina. That was my favourite.

Christmas 2010 - The joy of giving

Every year, during Christmas, I will donate a little to the less privileged.

The Salvation Army has a cute way of attracting donors. Their volunteers dressed up in Star Wars Action Figures Costume. It sure attracted people to donate.



My favourite charity body must be the Boys Brigade. I used to be in the Girls Brigade. We can donate food or household items to the less fortunate. I will normally donate some cash or buy rice to donate. I wish I could donate more but I have bills to pay too. :(

Christmas is coming soon. Every year, Orchard Road would be lighted up at this time of the year.

Different part of the road were decorated in different colour scheme.

City Square Mall - Christmas Tree made out of recycled materials

From far the christmas tree looked beautiful but on closer look, I realised they were made from recycled materials.

Very beautiful.

City Square Mall - Christmas 2010

Christmas is fast approaching, so have you been good lately? Santa is making a list to see who is good or bad. Only those who are good... get presents from Santa. :)

These deco. in the mall are so lovely.

I like the huge Santa where his hat double up as a christmas tree. Cute.

Easy access to City Square Mall - take the MRT to Farrer Park MRT Station, the mall is just above the MRT Station.

City Square Mall - Bubble Girl

During the long school holiday in November/December, most parents would bring their kids overseas for holiday. It is a long break from school and the time where kids should really be enjoying the long holiday and just relax and being a child.

Besides going overseas, parents also like to bring kids out shopping and having fun in the mall.

Another nice place to bring the kids when shopping is City Square Mall. It is located above Farrer Park MRT Station. There are so many malls in Singapore, we are really spoilt with so many choices. I finally made a repeated visit to City Square Mall...lol.

Kids really like the bubbles made by Bubble Girl. Great activity for the kids too.

Bubble Girl with Santa and Elves - very beautiful bubble show.

Boy taking photo with bubble girl, hahaha kid are just so innocent, the boy just burst the bubble without waiting for his parents to take photo of him inside the bubble.

Bubble Girl had to put the boy's hands into his pocket to prevent him from bursting the bubble...lol.

School is out - Kids out to play

Dont know where to bring the kids out during the school holidays? Try visiting NEX Shopping Mall in Serangoon Central for fun with Winnie The Pooh and Friends.

Nex -

From far, I thought I saw a dummy hanging from the side builing of NEX Shopping Mall.

But on zooming closer to it, I realised it was a worker doing cleaning or maintenance on the side of the building. He looked like he had some experience of rock climbing, etc.

Some of the window cleaners over here are hired from a pool of mountain climbers to do such job and they are well paid.

Not easy making money from this occupation.
