Last Saturday night was pedestrian night, the third closure of part of Orchard Road for the pedestrian night. The theme for the 3rd pedestrian night was Christmas on a great street. You can read more about the six month event on Pedestrian night from official website.
Was great that part of Orchard Road was closed, easier to take photos of the christmas decoration along the street, but my photography skills was terrible lol.
Even our Merlion was out on Orchard Road celebrating christmas.
This is a rather new mascot, little durian star. the mascot for Singapore at the World Expo in Shanghai in 2010.

This year I did not take photos of any christmas decorations but the one that caught my eyes was at Tangs Department Store in Orchard Road. Seems like they're having a peacock theme in their store.
The main attraction must be this mannequin with a headdress full of peacock feathers that stretches to nowhere. Was really beautiful indeed.
Even the window display have lots of peacock decorations.

Been a long time since I shop at Tangs, they did some renovations in the mall, looks neater and more spacious.

Did not have nice photos of the christmas lightings due to the raining weather almost everyday in Singapore. I managed to take few shots of the christmas lightings along Orchard Road. I love the giant snow globe infront of Orchard Ion but the raining weather make photography difficult cause of the raindrops and misty look on the globe. Worst was the barricade surrounding the snow globe, I guess the barricade was to protect the snow globe. Did you spot the cute little boy in the above photo? Despite the rain, Orchard Road was filled with many people. Beautiful christmas lightings along Orchard Road. Oh I love this the best among all the christmas decorations along Orchard Road. The horse carousel infront of Orchard Paragon. Yes, it actually does go round and round. I got it on video.

Ending my finale post for the roof garden of Orchard Central with this sculpture of a man climbing the stairs.
It looked very interesting and amazing how the sculpture looked like it was being suspended midair.

From the bottom of the stairs, the reflection of the sculpture and some tourists walking up the stairs looked like there are three sculptures and six men but actually there are only one sculpture and two men.

On the 12th Floor of Orchard Central Roof Garden, there are several sculptures worth taking photos of.
Need to stand at different angle to take good photo shots of the sculptures and the sculptures can move when the wind blows. Very well done sculptures.
