My World Tuesday-Jurong Point Shopping Mall-Eat and Shop and Shop and Eat

Here I go again, a shopping trip. :) This time it is to the very west side of Singapore. Yes, it is Jurong and this is Jurong Point Shopping Mall. Singapore is a shopping and food paradise. So this mall has lots of eateries for all different types of food. I think there are more food outlets than shops...lol.

The escalator leading to the food court that has many little restaurants in it. You can sit at the main table and ordered different dishes from the restaurants. Example you can just order one dish from restaurant A and another dish from restaurant B. You can then try different dishes from different restaurants. But the crowd is there and I am so hungry to wait for an empty table so I ended up at Dian Xiao Er Restaurant that is not in the food court.

This is the new extension of the old Jurong Point Shopping Mall.
At the basement, there are rows and rows of tables and chairs that belongs to different restaurants. At the basement are mostly fast food restaurants, like MacDonald, New York New York, Long John Silvers, etc.

Please visit "That's my World" for other parts of the world.

Food courts are a wonderful place to eat, people watch, and take photos. This is especially true in Singapore becasue the food is soo good and the people are always out eating :D

It would seem to the casual observer that you love to shop and have many malls to choose from! Our malls are not busy anymore, and we have some empty shops.

I wish our food courts were as good as yours-- ours are nowhere near as good!

Dong, you would love to visit here cause there's a 24 hours supermart here.:)

Squirrel, shopping and eating is one of the past time of Singaporeans. :) We are a very tiny island and there's not many islands hopping over here, we do try to travel overseas to sightsee or destress. Sometimes, it is just window shopping in the malls. There are so many malls to visit and you wont get bored. There's even library, bowling alley and cinemas in our malls. So going to the malls could also meant going to the library, bowling or cinemas.

Today, malls are not just for shopping. They have evolved into places where you can enjoy a variety of activities. Moreover, malls are economic symbols of a City. Many of us are going to shopping malls but not only to buy anything but it also to have fun with family or friends.
