Skywatch Friday - Ilight Show 2012 - Stick Man

The Marina Bay Sands looked so beautiful at night.

One of the highlights of Ilight 2012 is the stickman art installation display. The art installation was by Groupe LAPS is a group of six artists and designers from France. The display of more than twenty static stick figures. When paired with an electrifying soundtrack, the lights create a choreographed display which evokes movement, activity and a festive atmosphere.

Can find this art installation infront of the floating platform and opposite the Marina Bay Sands Art Museum.

Do looked across the floating platform where there's another display of light on the Art Museum. The light display on the museum was by Hexogon Solution Singapore. Garden of Light is an ambitious projection on the surface of the ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands incorporating a variety of light and sound effects to tell a story about environmental sustainability and highlight the beauty of the natural world. I got the display on the second video below.

Very interesting video on the stickman art installation display.

Please view the light show on the MBS museum in the above video, sorry for the shaky video cause I was trying to walk nearer towards the edge of the river bank to take a better view of the museum.

My World Tuesday - Ilight 2012 - Merlion

It's the yearly ilight show at Marina. This year the ilight show is so much better and beautiful. This is the second edition of i Light Marina Bay, and will be held from 9 March to 1 April 2012. Themed "Light Meets Asia", the sophomore will feature more than 30 innovative and environmentally sustainable light art installations, with a strong focus on works from Asia. For more information on ILight Marina Bay, you can view the official website.

Was at Marina and saw this ilight show on the Merlion. So surprised that the merlion can be so colourful.

This art installation of the merlion was known as the Light of the Merlion by OCUBO, Portugal.

Two short videos of the merlions changing colours. Sorry for the shaky videos at the beginning cause I was walking nearer to the art installation for a better view.

Do look to the ending part of the video where the water spouting out also changes colour.

Mosaic Music Festival Singapore

How did you spend your weekend? I spend mine walking around Marina and saw this music festival near the esplanade. Very talented young people. The music festival will end this weekend, so do drop by for some nice music shows this week.

More information on the rest of the performances, you can view the official website. If not for my ear problem, I wish I could sit nearer and listen to the performance but being in our fifties our ears cannot take in too loud music, there will be pain in my right ear. I think I will be deaf in the years to come lol.

A very short video of the performance last night.

My World - Resort World - Malaysia Food Street

Craving for some malaysian food? Now we dont have to travel long distance to Malaysia for malaysian food. Right in our backyard on Sentosa, Resort World had a Malaysian Food Street,a food court that houses about 17 stalls that sell authentic Malaysian hawker fare at Resorts World Sentosa.

To enter inside the food street, we need to queue to go in but the queue was a moving queue and very fast, dont have to wait very long to enter the food street but ordering the food and waiting for the food you need to be patient hahaha. You need to wait about 30 mins to one hour for your food especially so if the stall is popular.

Lots of seats right inside the food court, so no worry about not getting the seats. It was very well organised, they dont allowed too many people to enter at one time. This way, you wont have people standing around you trying to rush you to finish your food so that they can take over your seats.

Most of the 17 stalls have long queues, I guess cause it was because of the Chinese New Year Period and also the food court was newly opened.

I had this Malacca Chicken Rice Balls with chicken meat, waited more than half an hour for my food.

My sis had this Klang Bak Kut Teh (Pork Ribs Soup)

Ice Kachang for dessert

There's also a pastry shop selling egg tarts and other malaysian famous pastries.

I definitely will go back again to try other food.
