Today is the first day of the Chinese Lunar New Year , Year of the Dog 2018.
Lots of activities to do beside going rounds to house visit for Chinese New Year greetings.
I visited the River Hongbao at The Float @ Marina Bay, Singapore.
I was very impressed with the fireworks display. It was so beautiful. The best that I had seen.

Chinese New Year Red packets (Ang Pows) for 2018
Chinese New Year Decorations at Bugis Junction
Bugis Junction cleverly recycled their christmas decoration (see my old christmas post)
to chinese new year decorations. The music box's huge doll now dorns festive flowers and holding an upside down "FU".
Fu means good luck and by placing it upside down will cause the good fortune to literally pour out on the home, office or building in which it is placed.

Chinese New Year 2018 - Year of the Dog, Chinatown Street Light Up
In about two weeks, it will be Chinese New Year 2018 - Year of the Dog, Chinatown was decorated with the dog zodiac.
Last weekend, Chinatown was lighted up and followed by the fire crackers and fireworks. It really was so crowded, could not get near the good spot to video the fireworks.
