Chinese New Year 2011 - Light Up at Chinatown Singapore

It is so crowded in chinatown Singapore. Seems like a lot of people busy shopping for the coming Chinese New Year.

Chinese New Year will be coming soon. In celebrating the grand festival, there's a street light up in Chinatown. This year chinese new year will be from 3rd February 2011 to 17th February 2011 but the official public holiday is only on 3rd and 4th February.

I was there during the official light up on 15th January 2011, the light up will be on for about a month in Chinatown.

Lion Dancers getting ready for the light up.

Finally the lights are up and it will be lighted till mid february 2011.

More videos and photos coming up in later posts. Hopefully I can load some long video in blogger. Sometimes it seems like it takes forever to load a one minute short video.

Skywatch Friday - Toy Story Christmas Tree

The year is coming to an end. Time to welcome 2011 and hope that 2011 will be a better year for all of us. I dont bother to make any resolution anymore cause I hardly keep them...lol. Here wishing every a Happy New Year. Ending my year with my favourite Toy Story characters and Christmas Decortions.

The character from Toy Story, Buzz Light Year is right on top of the tall Christmas Tree.

These swings were decorated with Woody and his girlfriend, they sure attracted kids to the swing.

Christmas 2010 - More decoration at malls in Orchard Road

One of my favourite mall along Orchard Road. You must try the different ethnic group food at the food court.

I love looking at window display. To me, they are a kind of art too.

My World Tuesday - It's Barbie

Saw these beautiful costumes at Junction Eight while shopping with family. It's part of the christmas decoration for Junction Eight and the theme was Barbie. These costumes were part of the Barbie Doll's collection.

I have never play with Barbie Doll in my life. During my childhood I had paper dolls. We drew and designed and coloured our paper dresses for our paper dolls. And could you believe it, I actually named my paper doll, Alice when I was nine years old. :) I should not have threw them away when I grow up...sigh.

I wonder if kids still play paper dolls now.

Skywatch Friday - Christmas Decoration

Lights more lights at Wisma Atria. Looked like a curtain of fairy lights infront of the building. Make the whole place very beautiful.

The christmas decoration at Orchard Central

A huge teddy bear welcoming customers at Takashimaya.

Every year Paragon has very beautiful christmas tree. I remember one year their christmas tree was filled with ballerina. That was my favourite.

Not much sky in here...lol .
