Recently been walking around Singapore since I not ready to travel. Am still covid free, thanks goodness.
Decided to walk to Springleaf Nature Park and later to Lower Seletar Reservoir. The weather is really good. Took the MRT Train to Springleaft MRT Station and exit 2. Went for breakfast at Springleaf Prata Place for some prata and murtabak.
Is easy to walk from Spring Leaf MRT Station to Lower Seletar Reservoir. Looked at the map above and just walked along the park connector.
Springleaf Nature Park was formerly part of the Chan Chu Kang village – named after the headman Chan Ah Lak who acquired the land near Seletar River to cultivate gambier and pepper. The village was located in the 'kangkar' of the river, meaning the land around the riverbank in TeochewSaw many beautiful water lilies.
After a nice walk along Springleaf Nature Park, we proceed to Lower Seletar Reservoir Park. The park is beautiful and a popular place for lesiure activies like walking, running and water sports like kayaking. There's a golf course nearby too. The place is also idea for bird watching.

Wonderful place for bird watching. Happen to see a huge bird (I think is a Heron) caught a big fish, the fish almost got away but was caught by the bird again. Watch the video below.
