Changi Airport Terminal 3 - Playtime for kids
Changi Airport seems like a huge shopping mall instead of an airport. Kids having fun with kiddies rides and playground for the youngs and very youngs. There's a fee to play in here. For free playground, there's one nearby but I did not take photo of it.

Christmas Decoration at Changi Airport Terminal 3
This year Christmas Decoration seems to be very beautiful across the island. It's partly due to Singapore turning 50 next year with celebration starting 1st January 2015.
The christmas theme for Changi Airport is "It's a Mickey Mouse and Friends Christmas Wonderland in Changi Airport!"The decoration were so beautiful and look so magical. There's even snowfall during show time.
Show times on weekdays are hourly from 5pm to 9pm, while show times on weekends, public holidays and eve of public holidays are every other hour from 1pm to 5pm, and then hourly from 6pm to 9pm.
I took these photos during a weekday to avoid the weekend crowd.

My World Tuesday- Happy New Year 2011
First post for the new year. Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year and may 2012 be a better year.
Just back from short trip to Guangzhou, China. It was so much better and safer than I first expected. The last time I visited Guangzhou was in 1986 (antique story already hahaha), so much changes and I will tell my Guangzhou travel story in my travel blog once I loaded my photos. If you are interested you can read about it and how to go about in Guangzhou.
Was about to check in for my flight to Guangzhou last week but was attracted by this huge Merlion Topiary in Changi Airport Terminal 3. I think the Merlion Topiary will be there till after Chinese New Year 2012.
Inside the transit area/departure area, there are more decorations.
Did not visit the butterfly garden in Terminal 3 cause I was taking the morning flight, the butterfly garden was in darkness, I guess butterflies need their beauty sleep too.

Finally I am back to Singapore from Cambodia. Will try to load some photos in my travel blog, once I sorted them out.
It is christmas at Changi Airport. Took these photos at Terminal 2 of Changi Airport.
I am trying to have more rest from a tired but happy trip and then I will be having a christmas break at some chalets in a corner of Singapore in two weeks time... :)

My World Tuesday - Studying in the Airport
Continued from yesterday's post.
Besides famous for its food at Changi Airport, it is also well liked by students and retirees and those who love watching planes.
The above photo is the viewing gallery of Terminal 3 of Changi Aiport. You can view the plane landing and taking off here but Terminal 2 has better view of the planes.
Last weekend, I saw a group of students (circled) studying at a corner of the viewing gallery. This is the exam period and students love coming here cause it is so spacious and quiet and nice air conditioning too. I wondered how they can studied in this manner...lol. I rather locked myself in my own bedroom and studied by myself. I guess everyone has different way of studying.

My son studied with earphones in his ears, laptop in front of him and the books/notes on the desk....lol. He said this is multi-tasking.
Some retirees has no where to go, so they come here to watch the planes. Even hubby and me came to watch the planes after our lunch at the airport. :)
To view the beautiful airport, you can see my previous posting in here.

Changi Airport Terminal 3
Why do Singaporeans love going to the airport?
Changi Airport won so many awards for being the most beautiful and best airport in the world. We have three terminals, Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 and one budget airport all in Changi.
I love going to Terminal 3 being the latest and bigger terminal. The terminal is spacious and hubby and me went there last weekend just to have our lunch...lol.
Visit tomorrow to see how Singaporeans spend their day in Changi Airport. :)

Changi Airport Terminal 3 opening 9th January 2008
Today I visited the new Changi Airport terminal 3 ( it would be officially open and operating on 9th January 2008). It is so big and we walked so much and we were so tired. Most shops are not open yet. Geez, looking at it, I think the next time I travelled I would be shopping in Changi Aiport even before I boarded a plane....hahaha. All my favourite shops are in there. Now I believe why we are alway no. 1 airport in the world. Our existing Changi Aiport Terminal 1 and 2 are already very good and now with terminal 3 , we really are very spoilt with good shopping, dining and travelling facilities....lol.
You dont have to fly to be in Changi Airport. It really looked like a big shopping Mall. with 140 retail shops and F&B outlets with the most desired lifestyle brands and well loved dining establishments.
This is the main departure hall (photo shows only the main portion, it is actually very very big).
Majority of the wall of Changi Airport Terminal 3 are built with towering glass walls. One can view the interior of the transit area.

This spectacular five storey high and 300 m wide vertical garden features 25 species of climbing plants which you can view from both the Departure and Arrival Halls.
The plants are watered automatically.
Now I would end here and would post more photos when all the shops are fully open.
