Asian Civilisations Museum - Terracotta Warriors Exhibitions
I visited the Asian Civilisations Museum with little niece to view an exhibition on the Terracotta Warriors: The First Emperor and His Legacy. The exhibition will on from 24 Jun 2011 - 16 Oct 2011.
This exhibition features one hundred artefacts from Shaanxi province in China. Besides terracotta figures, the display contains important bronzes and jades from the Qin state before the time of the First Emperor, Shi Huangdi. The Han dynasty inherited the legacy of unified China, and charming terracotta figures from this later period show how the First Emperor’s tomb influenced later burials.
Admission Charges for Adults are different depending on the time you visited the museum. I paid only $5 when I visited earlier this month and my little niece do not have to pay for the admission charges cause she is a full time Singapore student. You can visit the official website for more information on the admission tickets.
Statues guarding the entrance of the museum.
You can purchase the tickets from the ticketing counter on the ground floor and you get a sticker to paste on your shirt to show the security guard when you enter the gallery.
The two statues infront of the exhibition hall are actually puzzle statues. You can play with the puzzles.
More photos on the terracotta warriors in next post.

Sesame Street Performance
It is the long school holiday in Singapore (28th May to 26th June 2011). Lots of activities for the kids at the mall. I happen to be in City Square Mall today and saw kids queueing to take photos with the characters of Sesame Street.
I was not there when the show was on, eitherwise I would take a short video of the show.
Parents with young kids might like to take the kids to watch the show. Please take note of the timing of the performance. The show will be on from 28th May to 26th June and from tuesday to friday the show will be at 7 pm and for weekend, the shows will be 1 pm, 4 pm and 7 pm.

Sentosa Flower Show Part 2 - Chinese Zodiac
As part of the Chinese New Year celebration, there's a flower show at Sentosa. The flower show is a yearly event. I visited only during the last few days of the event cause I dont want to be in the huge crowd especially during the first few days of chinese new year. The flower show just ended last weekend.

Sentosa Flower Show Part 1
After walking over the Sentosa Boardwalk, we used our EZ link card (the card that we used to take bus or MRT Trains) and we just tag our cards on the gantry (gate) and walked into Sentosa. It costs us only S$1 for admission to Sentosa, would cost more if we used the monorail, bus, cable cars or drive in by cars. The walk from mainland Singapore to Sentosa is less than 10 minutes but of course would be longer if you linger around the boardwalk to take photos.
If you dont possess the EZ link card, you can always buy the tickets from the ticketing office near the gate located at the end of the boardwalk in Sentosa. You dont have to pay anything when returning from Sentosa to Singapore via any mode of transport or walking back via the boardwalk.
RW is the logo for Resort World in Sentosa. It was decorated with hundreds or thousands of flowers.

My World Tuesday - Traditional Costumes from round the world
Saw this exhibition on traditional costumes from around the world at Suntec City. The costumes are all so beautiful and colourful. I might have overlook some costumes from some countries cause there were so many of them and I met my cousin and his family at the exhibition. Been too busy chatting with them to concentrate on the details of the exhibition...lol.
For more details of the exhibition, you can visit Mable's Blog for the detailed information.
Some of the traditional costumes wore by Singaporean. Singapore is a multi racial country consisting of the Chinese, Malay, Indian and Eurasians.
I hope you spot your country's traditional costumes. If not, it could be that I have missed out some of the costumes.
I hope you enjoy the photos of the beautiful costumes and the fabric as much as I do.
Please visit "That's my World" for other parts of the world.
