Balestier Heritage Trail- Zhongshan Park

It was nice taking a stroll in Balestier, one can discover past history of Singapore. You can read my old posts on my past visits to Balestier.

You can find more information from the plaque infront of the Zhongshan park.

As part of the overall master plan to integrate the adjacent Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall within the project, an area covering 4,624sqm has been dedicated as a public park, called “Zhongshan park”, in honour of Dr Sun Yat Sen (the founding father of the Republic of China). source

There are hotels, restaurants, etc beside the park. Was surprised to find the park so beautiful.

Family enjoy day out at the park.

Next post on Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall.

Taking a stroll in Ang Mo Kio Heartland

Last weekend, hubby and me went to Ang Mo Kio Heartland for dinner and took a stroll in the estate. Saw the estate well decorated for Chinese New Year too.

Being the year of the horse, saw a pair of horses in the middle of the heartland.

Well loved God of Fortune.

Chinese New Year 2014 - River Hong Bao Part

There were so many people like the chinese proverb people mountain people sea 人山人海 meaning "huge crowds of people" .

Admission is free and the last day for the exhibits is this Saturday 8th February 2014.

Favourite among the crowds must be the God of Fortune.

This year the God of Fortune seems to have a huge pot belly, guess lots of luck this year from God of Fortune hahaha.

Lots of lanterns on display but trying to get a good photo of the lanterns proved difficult, too many people blocking the view of the lanterns.

Chinese New Year 2014 - River Hong Bao - Chinese Zodiac Horoscopes

Last weekend, visited the River Hong Bao at The Float at Marina Bay. It was so crowded being the first day of Chinese New Year too. The River Hong Bao will end on 8th February 2014 (Saturday). Do go down and visit, the performance this year was very good but I did not stay to watch the entire performance.

The most popular exhibits at the River Hong Bao must be the 12 chinese zodiac.
