My favourite flowers and colour - Lavender

These are lavender flowers that I took in a lavender farm in Melbourne few years ago. My favourite colour is purple so you can see how delighted I was when I saw these purple lavender flowers. I did not know that lavender comes in other colours too till Mable from flowers in Singapore posted a special post just for me. She knew I like lavender flowers. :) Thanks Mable. If you are interested in flowers, do pop over to her blog to see those beautiful flowers.

I never knew they have lavender tea too...lol. But I dislike the tea, tasted funny. I bought some lavender cream from the farm (sorry no photos), they are so good to the skin. :)

And if that is not all, my sister bought this special pillow from Japan (not cheap), in it are dried lavender flowers. Yayy, I love you sis. The pillow serves as an aromatherapy pillow and each time I lied on it, I smell like lavender flowers too...lol.
I will tried to post more purple items next time when I run out of photos to post...lol

Pink Saturday-Singapore River Hongbao 2009

My contribution for pink saturday are these pink flowers and the pink stage, photo taken during the Singapore River Hongbao 2009. These will be my last photos for the Singapore River Hongbao 2009 series of photos.

These pink flowers are not the real thing, they are artificial.

The peacockis cute and lovely and trying to just snap the peacock is difficult cause there are so many people waiting to take photo with the peacock so I ended up taking photo of the peacock and a stranger...lol

The stage is decorated and lighted with pink lights.
For more pinky participants, please visit Beverly of How Sweet The Sound.

Skywatch

Oh I love this photo of the sky. I was in Sentosa, when I noticed the sun hiding behind the clouds. Perfect shot. I like the rays coming out of the clouds.

A post specially for CC - A day out with Sue Oriental

Let me introduce you to my new friend, Sunbonnet Sue Oriental. My best friend in Texas, CC of Lacenribbonroses designed her specially for me. Thank you so much CC. It is the chinese new year and you dress Sue in her finest red oriental dress and I love the little basket she is carrying. Red is for good luck and especially well loved during Chinese New Year.
I am so glad that you decided to send her to Singapore and yesterday, I brought her to watch a movie directed by a local director Jack Neo. I prefer watching english movies than chinese movies but I should also support our local movie industry. So Sue Oriental has to tag along cause there's no one at home to chat with her.

Sue Oriental has a great appetite.

This is the 3rd floor of the Vivo City and the cinema has little cinemas in it. So we can watch one movie after another but of course we had to pay same price ($7.50) for each individual one. I wondered why they dont have special tickets for those who watch two movies in one day.

It is very spacious.

Another local movie starring Fann Wong and Christopher Lee. I think Sue Oriental likes Christopher Lee...lol but Alice prefers Richard Gere. :)

There is this little snack bar and Sue Oriental likes to have a mini pizza but Alice says "no" cause they are going for a herbal lunch after the movie. :) This is to replenish Sue Oriental's energy cause she has a long flight from Texas to Singapore. Next week, Sue Oriental will be visiting Sentosa with Alice.
P.S. CC, I think Sue Oriental loves Singapore so much that she decided to stay here longer than expected.
