Pink Saturday - Happy Valentine
Been a long time since I join Pink Saturday cause I dont have much pink photos. But few days ago, I visited the Sentosa Flower as part of the Chinese New Year celebration, there were so many pink flowers so I decided to join this week's Pink Saturday.
I saw this cute rabbit couple decoration with a valentine theme. So lovely and beautiful. Many couples in love would posed with the rabbits and took photos with them.
Here wishing a very Happy Valentine Day to all those who celebrate the occasion.

Pink Saturday - Special Post for Pink Saturday's 2nd Birthday
This is a very special post for Pink Saturday on the occasion of its 2nd Birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO PINK SATURDAY.
I just came back from Ho Chi Minh City and I thought I wont get to tell you all the story that I am going to share.
The coach that we were on caught some electrical cables that were low lying. I saw one part of the cables already exposed with the wires showing out (photo of exposed wires taken from inside the bus). It was scary, had the driver been impatient and drove off, the cable will snap and the exposed wires will hit the bus and we would get electrocuted.
Our tour leader who forever been taking good care of us make sure all of us are out of the bus and guide us to the rest stop and let the driver and his assistant handle the whole situation.
Cables caught in the ventilator on top of the bus.
I did not buy much in Vietnam, just some keychains and a couple of tee shirts, spend most of my money on food and beverages and just enjoy the sights....lol. I think in my group, hubby and me bought the least...hahaha.
It could be.... I just visited Cambodia six months ago, I find everything in Vietnam is about the same as Cambodia. Also because been travelling so often, I become so lazy to hunt and bargain for the best price and also house run out of space to keep more stuff.
I am more interested in taking more photos and looking at the beautiful architectural buildings, places of attractions, etc.
I think I enjoy most in Vietnam is the water puppet. More about my Vietnam trip will be in my travel blog.
A short video of the water puppet.
I hope I have enough pink in today's post for Pink Saturday.

Pink Saturday - Bazaar
It is pink Saturday again. I am posting photos of some stalls selling some beautiful baju (clothes) for the malay festival.
I only featured few stalls that are nearer to the main road cause the weather is a killer, it is so hot, I dare not go right into the bazaar. I think I will visit again next week during the night and take more photos...lol.
These are baju which are the malay's culture style of dressing. During their festival, i.e. Hari Raya Puasa which will falls on 21st September 2009 for this year. The whole family would wear the same colour clothes. They looked so cute especially for the small kids.
These are for the little kids, they are so cute.
Did you see any carpets that you fancy in this stall?
We are a multi racial country and most have friends from different races. So same for me and my family too.
We do get invited by our malay friends to join them for a meal during their festival but this year I wont be able to join my friends cause I have to attend my cousin's wedding on 21st September in a very nice hotel. I have so many cousins, so after this cousin getting married we are down to one very last female cousin that is still unmarried.

Pink Saturday - ION Orchard
My pink contributiion must be these cute and branded mannequins outside ION Orchard. You can tell that these mannequins are wearing branded clothes. Yes, the whole mall is very posh and they sell mostly branded stuff. Even the toilets are very posh...lol. I need to visit the mall again to see how posh the interior look. :)
From this huge signboard you can see the branded stuff they sell. In Singapore you cant buy any fake or imation brands. So you are assured everything in here are real stuff.

Whampoa Estate Part 5-Wet Market and Hawker Centre
My contribution for pink saturday are some interesting scenes in the market.
This is a hawker centre where they sold mostly local food and the prices are quite reasonable . This estate is so old and most of the hawkers are long timers and the food they sold are so good.
Just walked across the hawker centre is the wet and dry market. The wet part sold fishes, chicken, vegetables, etc , while the dry sold dry groceries , clothes, cloth, household items, etc. Did you spot the "P" in Whampoa as a contribution to Pink Saturday?
Inside the market will be the wet part, where they sold poultry, fishes, etc
As it is near noon, the market is close for the day, so the stall holders has to wash and keep their stalls clean.

Pink Saturday-Bus
My contribution for Pink Saturday are buses with pink features in them.
I noticed the new buses over here, have very pretty pink railings in them. Most of our buses are air conditioned and fitted with a mobile TV. No eating and drinking allowed in the public transports to keep them clean. The old buses always ended having cockroaches cause inconsiderate people eat and drink in the buses.
Oh I like these open top buses. Did you spot the pink bus in the photo below? This was taken at Bras Basah Road.

Each Hippo tour lasts approximately 60 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. The Hop-On Hop-off system allows tourists to tour at their own leisure pace. Spot an interesting place or sight and simply inform the captain or HiPPOtainer. Hop off and walk around at your on pace and tourists can always continue the tour later by hopping onto the next HiPPO bus.
You can get more information and the prices for the hippo bus in their official website.
