Skywatch-Sentosa Flower Show at Palawan Beach Part 5

Still at Sentosa, I saw these huge flower wind mills at the beach. I enjoyed my little trip to Sentosa, been a long time since I visited this little island off the south west of Singapore.

There are more attractions in Sentosa besides beaches. Universal Studio will be completed by next year and there will be a casino here. I will be looking forward to the theme park but not the casino (cause I never won anything in Casino...lol). Good thing there's a cap of an entrace fee of $100 for the local to visit the Casino.

Sentosa Flower Show at Palawan Beach Part 4 - Landscape

Continuing from yesterday's post on Sentosa Flower Show. Besides flowers and the recyle exhibition, there's a landscape show at Palawan Beach too.
This is supposed to be the shape of a turtle.

There are many plants in shape of animals here, like the beaver, penguin, etc.

These plants looked so cute and pretty, sorry dont know what plants are these. I have never see these before.

Sentosa Flower Show 2009 - Palawan Beach Part 3 - Sculpture Exhibition/Competition

Continuing from my yesterday's post on the sculpture exhibition/competition using recycled items.

This pot using rows of hose as the body of the pot/kettle looked so new to me. I thought they are supposed to use recycled items. No wonder they dont get first prize.

I like the way they used the umbrella as decoration.

Even spades are used for this sculpture...very clever.

A scarecrow sculpture...this is cute.

And the winner is the above photo - surprised? I too thought so but looked at their sculptures they really used recycled items. Well Done.

My World - Reduce, Reuse and Recyle Exhibition -Palawan Beach, Sentosa (Part 2)

Continuing from my yesterday's post on flowers show in Sentosa 2009, these sculptures exhibition/competition are also part of the flower show. They are part of the reuse, reduce and recyle programmes.

Part of the sculpture are made of used egg crates, bottles and paper plates.
The giant brush writting a couplet with the words "Chun" (spring). The couplet is made of styrofoam and the wordings are made of small rocks.

Now this is so cute.

The flower pots are so adorable.

Can you all spot the recyled gloves in this sculpture?

Sentosa Flower Show 2009-Part 1(Palawan Beach)

This year flower show at Sentosa for Chinese New Year are held at two different locations. One is at Palawan Beach and the other at Impiah. Both places are in Sentosa.

There are not many flowers over at Palawan Beach but still I would like to share some of the photos that I took. Geez, so sorry....I dont know most of the names of the flowers.

Purple is my favourite colour and I like the above darker purple flowers. These are Gomphrena globosa (Globe amaranth)....thank you Mable for the names of the flowers.
