Sentosa Flower Show 2009-Part 1(Palawan Beach)

This year flower show at Sentosa for Chinese New Year are held at two different locations. One is at Palawan Beach and the other at Impiah. Both places are in Sentosa.

There are not many flowers over at Palawan Beach but still I would like to share some of the photos that I took. Geez, so sorry....I dont know most of the names of the flowers.

Purple is my favourite colour and I like the above darker purple flowers. These are Gomphrena globosa (Globe amaranth)....thank you Mable for the names of the flowers.

    Hi Alice, just love your enjoyment of life and flowers in particular! I don't know the names of all the flowers in your photos except these:

    2nd and 3rd pics - Gomphrena globosa (Globe amaranth)
    4th pic - Celosia cristata (Cockscomb)
    5th pic - Marigold
    8th pic - Zebra plant

    Flowers blooming! I love when it's just warm enough here to plant annuals--everyone goes wild buying flats of flowers to plant in their gardens. The first to go in are usually some pansies, because they can withstand an unusually late blizzard or two.
