Here is another sculpture found at Esplanade Mall.
I cant figure out what it is. Is it a star fruit or water melon or cactus? I guess that is what Art is all about. You are supposed to guess or ponder or admire....lol
Hahaha, good guess everyone including me. I thought was cactus. I google and found they are part of a seed series sculpture by Han Sai Por. You can see the information and her sculpture photos. http://www3.moe.edu.sg/edumall/tl/digital_resources/arts156.htm
You are right Alice, that is Art I think. I think it is difficult to define art.
Actually what ponders me is not the sculpture, but the grass beneath and surrounds it. How do they trim it without damaging the sculpture. That will take really long to do it. :P I realised that the grass around that part is slightly longer then the rest as well. hmm...
Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I will try to return blog visiting whenever I could and will also try to reply your questions about my posts.
Maybe it's a pumpkin ... but it's gorgeous.
ReplyDeletewow that's a hard one! at first i thought it was a crown hat, but now it looks more like a pumpkin to me...
ReplyDeleteI would also guess pumpkin or maybe squash.
