I have seen the huge ones you mentioned. Really gigantic cactii, bigger & wider than a couple of persons standing together! That was one of the memorable sights we saw, travelling in an RV from Vegas to California.

have to say I have only one cactus in my house and it is surviving!! The trick is not to over water!!! people do go overboard dousing it.
i love cactus. there is a place here that sells cactus, Baguio City. But these cactus survived just for a month in my home's weather. :(
I love them Alice. you'll find me buying lots of them to bring home..happy weekend.
I have a few cactus plants at home but they grow very slow.... ;-)

I love your cactus plants. They are esay to take care and make neat little gifts. My favorite is what they call hen and chicken.
