This is the entrance of the Dian Xiao Er Restaurant in Jurong Point.
Hubby and me decided to lunch here after finding the food court, that I mentioned in earlier post, so crowded. I prefer the food court where I can ordered different dishes from different restaurants. But I am too hungry to wait for empty table at the food court, so here I am at Dian Xiao Er. No regrets... cause the food is good too and the ambience is lovely.
The decorations in this restaurant are so beautiful but the lightings are too dim for our eyes...lol .
The tables settings looked so cute. They are like individual stalls.

I am going to Singapore very soon for a short business trip, do love the murals very much...ethnic, original and very different. Happy week..oh well, weekend's almost here ;p
I would take the restaurant over the food court.
I do like to drink tea with you in that restaurant ;)
Those murals are really beautiful painted !!!
Lovely murals to create an ambience.
What do the words 'Dian Xiao Er' mean? Thanks
Hi all,
Thanks for the visit and nice comments.
Yes, the murals are really very attractive.
Sunshine, the meaning of Dian Xiao Er means "shop little waiter". In the ancient time, they addressed the waiter as "Xiao Er".
I would pick a place like this over a food court ANY day! The lighting is wonderful!
The murals are simply delightful. I too would prefer to eat at food courts, but some days I would really treat myself with places like this one.
I am also going to Singapore ...but not so soon. Just in late Aug. I love food courts & we always make up for lost time whenever we pop by to Singapore.
Wow... love the lighting and the murals in that restaurant. It looks romantic and very quiet.
Are they enlarged paintings? They look lovely. Don't they mind you taking photos in their restaurant?
When I went to Singapore, they always tell us no photos in the restaurants. Which is a bit inconvenient as I always have my camera around.
Ai Shiang, they are not enlarged paintings. They are murals, drawn on the wall.
I dont have problems taking photos in restaurants. But in hotels, I have ask permission to take photo of buffets in the main table, the manager always allowed me.
